Not everyone appreciates snails but I really like them. I had two males and one female but one of the males died. This variety of Apple Snail (pomacea bridgesi) does not eat live plants. My female has laid eggs three times but none of the eggs hatched.

Apple snails have a huge appetite and I had many snail deaths before I started feeding them copious amounts of frozen zucchini. I feed them slices of frozen zucchini and algae wafers. They also eat left over fish food, dead fish (when I don't see them and take them out before the snails find them) and algae in growing in the tank.
